What is maintenance software or CMMS?
A software-based solution for planning maintenance and repair orders – known as maintenance software or CMMS – is a digital tool that makes it possible to assign tasks to maintenance staff in a targeted and effective manner. Manual planning using a planning board or Excel spreadsheets is replaced by an automated solution that can be operated on all end devices such as a smartphone or tablet. The functions of this software include the option of individual planning using drag-and-drop as well as group planning over a predefined period. The qualifications and skills of the employees are taken into account in order to ensure the targeted allocation of orders.
